Vienna – the big city as an apparent opposite – was for me a pool where, following my fascination with human communication and group processes, I learned to swim scientifically. I accompanied my studies in pedagogy and communication sciences with dancing and teaching. Dance itself opened up possibilities for me to experiment with phenomena. What remains impressive to me to this day is this: consciously bringing one’s own body out of balance initiates an unforeseen flow of movement, which in turn leads to balance – complex yet simple.
My interest continued to revolve around people and their power of expression, and so acting studies gave me breath and voice, allowed me to let loose in the realm of emotions, only to finally find peace again – thus I discovered the path of presence and meditation.
The river – it constantly flows downstream with great force. And yet, if you look closely, you can see that the water near the banks also flows upstream. Full of curiosity, I follow the river of life, learn about myself daily, and let myself be moved.
In those moments when I feel like I’m flowing in the wrong direction, I remember the phenomenon of currents. And if the river flows too rapidly, I cast the anchor of “meditation.”
Besides Meditas, I work as a lecturer in adult education, in training, and in private practice as a life and social counselor and supervisor (more info).
For me, Meditas stands for the encounter of people with themselves and others, is a sacred space for arrival and self-discovery, as well as a place of stillness and serenity – ultimately, the art of living.”
